Tips for Poster Printing:

Which material is best for your poster? Both the size and where you are going to hang the poster will impact on which material you use. For example if you are only printing A3 posters for indoor use it would be OK to use a 150gsm silk paper.

Posters - Light BoxHowever, if you want to print a much bigger poster, such as an A1 or A0 we would recommend a heavier weight paper to give it more strength.

Is the poster going to be used outside? If your poster is going to be in a waterproof poster box then it will be fine to print it on paper. However, if there is a chance you poster could get damp or wet we would recommend printing on a PVC material.

If you are putting the poster in a light-box (i.e. a backlit poster frame) we would recommend a backlit polypropylene.

We offer a range of materials for poster print but the three most common are:

Silk paper – 150 to 250gsm.
220 micron PVC matt white
300 micron backlit polypropylene

You may also want to consider printing a printed PVC banner if you need a more durable solution. We can print on a range on a range of PVC banners from 440gsm to 740gsm (as well as 340gsm mesh PVC) and these come complete with eyelets. Click here for more details of our banner printing services.
